Prices are in US dollars. When Trunk launches, Pro renews through the App Store until you cancel it under Subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. If Pro ends, the backup is kept for 90 days and then removed; memories on your phone are untouched.
Common questions
Do I need an account?
Not to record. Recording, transcription, search, playback, export and the app lock all work without one. Sign-in (Apple, Google, or an email code; no passwords) is needed for backup, Pro and sharing by link.
What happens after the free two hours?
Recordings are still saved. Their words wait until the allowance returns next month or you get Pro. The cap is counted on the phone and includes imports; a recording begun with time left is transcribed whole.
What stays on my phone?
Everything you record, and every word read from it. Transcription, the text in photos, titles and summaries are all made on the device. Backup and shared links send encrypted copies with keys we cannot use; see exactly what we can see on the promise page.
How do I subscribe, and how do I cancel?
When Trunk launches, you'll subscribe from the iPhone app and the App Store will take the payment. You'll be able to cancel any time under Subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, under Apple's terms.
What happens if Pro ends?
Your backup is kept for 90 days and then removed, and the app says so. Memories on your phone are untouched, and export stays free.
What does a shared link do?
It carries a separate encrypted copy of one memory. Anyone with the full link can open it in a browser, with no account or app. A link expires after 7, 30 or 90 days, and you can take it back at any time; copies already opened or saved cannot be recalled.
Can I leave?
Always. Export everything as ordinary files, audio, images, video and text, free and without an account. The door is always open.
Is my data used to train models?
No. There is no cloud transcription and no cloud AI at all, so there is nothing to train on. Details on the promise page.
